  • When connecting via modem, do I need to use particular types of SIM cards?

    Not necessarily: SmartPark is capable of using the Internet as a means of communication, and therefore normal data SIM cards will suffice. Should the customer require it, “machine to machine” SIM cards or a connection to the company VPN can also be used.

  • How much data traffic does a parking meter generate?

    This depends on the communication profile that the customer requires; a typical configuration where all data is sent, with three connections per day, requires less than 500 kB/day, or about 15 MB/month.

  • What are the requirements for installing SmartPark within the customer’s infrastructure?

    SmartPark is a system developed for the Windows platform. Given the nature of the application, Solari advises that it be installed on an adequately reliable machine running a server class operating system. SmartPark can use the pre-existing database, or use a database server such as MSSql, so as to be integrated within the existing IT environment.

  • What do I need if I want to use the cloud service?

    In this case, nothing is required other than the Spazio parking meter. Obviously, the devices must be equipped with data SIM cards for communication purposes. Solari then provides configuration parameters to be inserted in the parking meters and the access credentials for the members area. To access the SmartPark application, any Internet browser will do.
